District No. 2 clerk, qualifications--election (Marion County).

483.445. There shall be a clerk of district number 2 of thecircuit court of Marion County, who shall possess thequalifications of other clerks of the circuit courts, who shallbe elected by the qualified voters of the townships of Mason andMiller in Marion County, at the same times, in the same mannerand for the same time as shall be provided by law for the clerksof the circuit courts and who shall continue in office until hissuccessor is elected and qualified. The clerk of district number2 of the circuit court of Marion County shall have all of therights, powers and duties of circuit clerk within Mason andMiller townships in Marion County and shall be paid as a circuitclerk except to the extent specifically otherwise provided. Allvacancies in his office shall be supplied in the same manner asin like cases in the office of the circuit clerk. The clerkprovided by this section shall be in addition to the circuitclerk of Marion County. The circuit clerk of Marion County shallserve district number 1 of the circuit court of Marion County,and shall serve as the ex officio recorder of deeds for all ofMarion County.
