Notary to keep journal--exceptions.

486.260. Each notary public shall provide and keep a permanentlybound journal of his or her notarial acts containing numbered pages, exceptthose notarial acts connected with judicial proceedings, and those forwhose public record the law provides and the public record is publiclyfiled within ninety days of execution. Each notary public shall record insuch journal the following: the month, day, and year of notarization; thetype of notarization such as acknowledgment or jurat; the type of document;the name and address of the signer; the identification used by the signer;the notary fee; and the signature of the signer.
