Nothing in sections 486.200 to 486.405 shall beconstrued in any way as interfering with or discontinuing theterm of office of any person now serving as a notary public untilthe term for which he was commissioned has expired, or until hehas been removed pursuant to the provisions of sections 486.200to 486.405.
