Affidavit taken in another state before notary public or associatecircuit judge.

490.530. Any such affidavits, taken out of this state and inthe United States, may be taken before a notary public, or beforeany associate circuit judge, and when taken before such associatecircuit judge shall be accompanied by a certificate of theofficial character of such associate circuit judge, attested bythe seal of state, or proved by the certificate and seal of theclerk of the same court of record in the state where theaffidavit was made, certifying that such associate circuit judgehad full power and authority to administer oaths at the time suchaffidavit was taken, and that the signature of such magistratethereto is genuine.
