Evidence, when translated into English, may be read.

490.630. Whenever any written evidence in a cause shall bein language other than English, a written translation thereofinto the English language, made by a competent translator, andverified by his affidavit, may be read in evidence instead of theoriginal, if such original be competent evidence.
