Exemption from arrest and service of process.

491.430. 1. If a person comes into this state in obedienceto a summons directing him to attend and testify in this state heis not, while in this state pursuant to such summons, subject toarrest or the service of process, civil or criminal, inconnection with matters which arose before his entrance into thisstate under the summons.

2. If a person passes through this state while going toanother state in obedience to a summons to attend and testify inthat state or while returning therefrom, he is not while sopassing through this state subject to arrest or the service ofprocess, civil or criminal, in connection with matters whicharose before his entrance into this state under the summons.
