513.400. Such fees shall be allowed to referees appointedand acting under the provisions of sections 513.390 to 513.405,as the court or judge thereof appointing them shall adjudge to bea fair and just compensation for the services rendered, not toexceed ten dollars per day, which shall be taxed as costs againstthe party adjudged to pay the same, and shall, from time to time,be paid as directed by the court.
