Bond may be exacted, when.

521.750. When any sheriff, marshal, or other duly authorizedofficer shall levy an execution or attachment on any personalproperty, and any person other than the defendant in suchexecution or attachment shall claim such property or any interesttherein, such officer may demand of the plaintiff or his agent insuch execution or attachment a sufficient indemnification bondwith at least two good and sufficient sureties, to be approved ofby such officer, and may refuse to execute such execution orattachment until such indemnification bond be given.
