When security deemed sufficient.

544.590. Where more than one person is offered as sureties,they shall be deemed sufficient, if in the aggregate they possessthe necessary qualifications. But no recognizance shall be takenunless the court or officer authorized to take the same shall besatisfied, from proof and examination on oath or otherwise, ofthe sufficiency of the sureties according to the requirements ofthis and the preceding sections.
