Criminal cases, prosecutors and circuit attorneys may take depositionsof any person, procedure--prisoners deposed, where.

545.415. Beginning July 1, 1995, a prosecuting or circuitattorney in any criminal case pending in any court may obtain thedeposition of any person on oral examination. The manner oftaking such depositions shall be governed by the rules relatingto the taking of depositions in civil actions. The depositionsof any person confined in prison shall be taken where such personis confined.
