Cause continued, when.

545.790. If any person indicted for a criminal offenseabscond or flee from justice, or cannot be found to be servedwith process, or, being let to bail, shall not appear accordingto the condition of the recognizance, the cause may be continuedfrom term to term, without issuing process on the indictment; andsuch process may be issued at any time on the application of theprosecuting attorney.
