Qualifications and factors considered by judges in approving privateentities to serve as probation offices.

559.609. The associate circuit or municipal judgesapproving the private entity to function as a probation officeshall base their decision on factors such as length of time inthe probation field, experience in supervising various types ofoffenders, the financial ability to operate a probation office inthe jurisdiction, and other factors as the judges deem necessaryand relevant.
