Investigation of reports of vulnerable person abuse, when.

565.216. The department of mental health shall investigate incidentsand reports of vulnerable person abuse using the procedures established insections 630.163 to 630.167, RSMo, and, upon substantiation of the reportof vulnerable person abuse, shall promptly report the incident to theappropriate law enforcement agency and prosecutor. If the department isunable to substantiate whether abuse occurred due to the failure of theoperator or any of the operator's agents or employees to cooperate with theinvestigation, the incident shall be promptly reported to appropriate lawenforcement agencies.
