Refusal of admission to terminal--requests for identification or toleave terminal authorized, failure to comply, penalty.

578.320. 1. In order to provide for the safety, comfort,and well-being of passengers and others having a bona fidebusiness interest in any terminal, a bus transportation companymay refuse admission to terminals to any person not having bonafide business within the terminal. Any such refusal shall not beinconsistent or contrary to state or federal laws, regulationspursuant thereto, or to any ordinance of the politicalsubdivision in which such terminal is located. A duly authorizedcompany representative may ask any person in a terminal or on thepremises of a terminal to identify himself and state hisbusiness. Failure to comply with such request or failure tostate an acceptable business purpose shall be grounds for thecompany representative to request that such person leave theterminal. Refusal to comply with such request shall constitutedisorderly conduct. Disorderly conduct shall be a class Cmisdemeanor.

2. It is unlawful for any person to carry a deadly ordangerous weapon or any explosives or hazardous material into aterminal or aboard a bus. Possession of a deadly or dangerousweapon, explosive or hazardous material shall be a class Cfelony. Upon the discovery of any such item or material, thecompany may obtain possession and retain custody of such item ormaterial until it is transferred to the custody of lawenforcement officers.
