Administrative law judges, appointment, terms, qualifications, privatelaw practice prohibited--compensation, expenses.

622.020. 1. Three administrative law judges shall also beappointed for the division. They shall be nominated by thedepartment director and appointed by the governor with the adviceand consent of the senate. Each shall be appointed for a term ofsix years, except of those first appointed, one shall beappointed for a term of four years, and one for a term of twoyears. Each shall be an attorney-at-law admitted to practicebefore the supreme court of Missouri, and while serving in thiscapacity as an administrative law judge shall not otherwisepractice law during his term of office. Not more than two of theadministrative law judges shall be members of the same politicalparty.

2. Administrative law judges shall be compensated at thesame rate as administrative hearing commissioners arecompensated, and they shall be reimbursed for actual andnecessary expenses incurred in the performance of their duties.
