Division to promote state's economic welfare.

625.031. The division shall provide coordinated services toaid state and local groups in the promotion of new economicenterprises and shall conduct such publicity and promotionalactivities as are desirable to stimulate all facets of theeconomy, and to this end shall:

(1) Collect and disseminate information regarding theadvantages of locating and developing industrial, commercial,agricultural and recreational enterprises in this state;

(2) Plan, with the cooperation of the department ofconservation and the state park board, programs designed topromote the tourist and recreational advantages of the state;

(3) Serve as the official state liaison agency betweenpersons interested in locating new economic enterprises inMissouri and state and local groups seeking new enterprises. Inthis respect, the division shall aid communities in organizingfor obtaining new business or expanding existing business; and

(4) Encourage public and private agencies or bodies topublicize the facilities and attractions of the state.
