Use of data of other state agencies--advisory boards--cooperation bystate agencies.

625.041. So far as may be practicable in the performance ofits duties in connection with collecting and assembling ofinformation, the department of economic development shall makeuse of such pertinent data as may be secured from thedepartments, boards, commissions, agencies and institutions ofthis state. The department of economic development shall haveaccess to all records, data, information and statistics of otherdepartments, boards, commissions, agencies and institutionsexcept such records or information as is required by law to bekept confidential. It is the duty of the department ofconservation, the department of natural resources, the stateuniversity, the university of Missouri-Rolla, the division ofgeological survey and water resources, the department oftransportation and any other state department or agency, whenrequested by the governor or the director to do so, in writing,to select an advisory committee of at least three members, and tocooperate with the department of economic development in theperformance of its duties in any practical manner within thelimits of the appropriation provided the department or agency.
