Psychosurgery, consent required--not to be performed by department.

630.133. 1. Psychosurgery shall not be performedinvoluntarily on any patient or resident. A competent patient orresident shall be informed, both orally and in writing, of therisks of the therapy and shall give his express written voluntaryconsent before the surgery is performed. Parents of minorpatients or residents or legal guardians of incompetent patientsor residents shall be required to obtain court orders authorizingsuch surgery under the procedures and criteria specified insubsection 3 of section 630.130.

2. Psychosurgery shall not be performed by the department inany of its facilities.
