Custody ordered to director of department, duty of placement.

631.155. Notwithstanding any other provision of the law tothe contrary, whenever a court orders a person detained forinvoluntary treatment or rehabilitation in an alcohol or drugabuse facility operated by the department, or such a facilityaffiliated and under contract with the department to serve theservice area involved, the order of detention shall be to thecustody of the director of the department, who shall determinewhere detention for involuntary treatment and rehabilitationshall take place in the least restricted environment.
