Friable material subject to regulation--air sample analysis, howconducted.

643.240. 1. Before commencement of an asbestos abatementproject, persons shall make all reasonable efforts to minimizethe spread of friable asbestos-containing materials touncontaminated areas.

2. Any asbestos-containing material that will be renderedfriable during the process of removal, encapsulation, enclosureor demolition is subject to all applicable federal and stateregulations.

3. Analysis of asbestos air samples shall be conductedaccording to the United States Occupational Safety and HealthAdministration's (OSHA) standards in 29 CFR 1926.58.
