60-495. Organ and tissuedonation; rules and regulations; Organ and Tissue Donor Awareness and EducationFund; created; use; investment.(1) The directorshall adopt and promulgate such rules and regulations and prepare and furnishall forms and information necessary to carry out sections 60-493 to 60-495 and the duties of the department underthe Revised Uniform Anatomical Gift Act.(2) The Organ and Tissue Donor Awareness and Education Fundis created. The county treasurer shall remit all funds contributed under sections 60-484, 60-4,144, and 60-4,181 to the State Treasurer for credit to the fund.The Department of Health and Human Services shall administer the Organ andTissue Donor Awareness and Education Fund for the promotion of organ and tissuedonation. The department shall use the fund to assist organizations such asthe federallydesignated organ procurement organization for Nebraska and the State AnatomicalBoard in carrying out activities which promote organ and tissuedonation through the creation and dissemination of educational information.Any money in the fund available for investment shall be invested by the stateinvestment officer pursuant to the Nebraska Capital Expansion Act and theNebraska State Funds Investment Act.
