The annual salaries of the registers of probate shall be established by the supreme court in accordance with the compensation system established by the supreme court. The register shall set the salary of the deputy register and all nonjudicial court support staff being directly supervised by the register consistent with the personnel procedures and compensation system established by the supreme court.
