The office, in consultation with the council and the committee, shall monitor activity by Congress and the federal government related to the long-term or temporary storage or permanent disposal of high-level radioactive waste. The office, in consultation with the committee, may advise the New Hampshire congressional delegation of action which is necessary to protect the interests of the state and may work with the congressional delegations and the state governments of other affected northeastern states.
