If a public hearing upon the petition is ordered by the board under the provisions of RSA 386-A:4, notice of such hearing shall be caused to be published by the petitioners at least once a week for 3 successive weeks, in one or more newspapers designated by the commissioner. The notice shall be in such form as may be prescribed by the commissioner, setting forth the place, date, and hour of the hearing, the names, addresses and occupations of the incorporators, and the name of the proposed corporation, and such other information as the form may require. One of the newspapers shall be a newspaper generally circulating in the city or town where such bank is to be located. The first publication of such notice shall be within 30 days after the petition has been referred to the board by the commissioner. The petitioners shall also cause a copy of such notice to be mailed to every bank, trust company, or other corporation, described in RSA 384:1, located in the city or town where such bank is to be located, at least 14 days before such hearing date. The petitioners shall furnish the board with written proof of the publication and service of the notice under this section, on or before the commencement of the hearing.
