33-1A-2. Long-term lease of correctional facility housing by property control division; sublease to correctional officers and others.

In connection with and as part of the real property lease authorized in Section 1 [33-1A-1 NMSA 1978] of this act, the property control division is authorized to negotiate and execute a long-term lease, for a period not to exceed twenty-five years, of the low-rent housing units constructed pursuant to this act [33-1A-1 to 33-1A-5 NMSA 1978] and to sublease them to correctional officers of the [corrections] department, their families and such other [corrections] department personnel or other state employees as the secretary of corrections may designate.
