Part 2. Payment of Wages AfterDeath of Employee.

§ 115C‑324.  Dispositionof payment due employees at time of death.

In the event of the death ofany superintendent, teacher, principal, or other school employee to whompayment is due for or in connection with services rendered by such person or towhom has been issued any uncashed voucher for or in connection with servicesrendered, when there is no administration upon the estate of such person, suchvoucher may be cashed by the clerk of the superior court of the county in whichsuch deceased person resided, or a voucher due for such services may be madepayable to such clerk, who will treat such sums as a debt owed to the intestateunder the provisions of G.S. 28A‑25‑6.  (1955, c. 1372, art. 18, s.8; 1965, c. 395; 1981, c. 423, s. 1; 2009‑570, s. 38.)
