Nothing in this Compact shallbe construed to prevent the governor of a party state from delegating any ofhis responsibilities or authority respecting the National Guard, provided thatsuch delegation is otherwise in accordance with law. For purposes of thisCompact, however, the governor shall not delegate the power to requestassistance from another state. (1969, c. 674, s. 1; 1975, c. 604, s. 2; 2009‑281,s. 1.)
