(a) The information inthe county registry shall be verified by the sheriff for each registrant who isa recidivist, who is convicted of an aggravated offense, or who is classifiedas a sexually violent predator every 90 days after the person's initialregistration date.
(b) The procedure forverifying the information in the criminal offender registry is the same asunder G.S. 14‑208.9A, except that verification shall be every 90 days asprovided by subsection (a) of this section. (1997‑516, s. 1; 2001‑373, s. 10.)
