§ 143‑254.2. Enforcement of local laws.

(a)        It shall be the duty and responsibility of the NorthCarolina Wildlife Resources Commission to enforce all local acts heretofore orhereinafter enacted respecting game animals, fur‑bearing animals andbirds, including local acts which prohibit or restrict hunting from, to oracross public roads and highways and including local acts which prohibit orrestrict the taking of specified animals or birds.

Provided, however, that the provisions of this section shall not applyon the lands of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians.

(b)        The provisions of this section shall not be construed torequire the hiring of additional personnel by the North Carolina WildlifeResources Commission. (1977, c. 120, ss. 1‑3.)
