§ 153A‑311.  Purposes for which districts may beestablished.

The board of commissioners of any county may define a county researchand production service district in order to finance, provide, and maintain forthe district any service, facility, or function that a county or a city isauthorized by general law to provide, finance, or maintain. Such a service,facility, or function shall be financed, provided, or maintained in thedistrict either in addition to or to a greater extent than services,facilities, or functions are financed, provided, or maintained for the entirecounty. (1985, c. 435, s.1.)
