Unless otherwise provided by law, any appeal from an order, decision,or determination of a member of a local inspection department pertaining to theState Building Code or any other State building law shall be taken to theCommissioner of Insurance or his designee or other official specified in G.S.143‑139, by filing a written notice with him and with the inspectiondepartment within 10 days after the day of the order, decision, ordetermination. Further appeals may be taken to the State Building Code Councilor to the courts as provided by law. (1969, c. 1066, s. 1; 1973, c. 822, s. 1; 1989, c. 681, s. 7.)
