(a) A person who isdetained or objects to the conditions required for his release which wereimposed or allowed to stand by order of a district court judge may apply inwriting to a superior court judge to modify the order.
(b) The power to modifyan order includes the power to substitute sureties upon any bond. Substitutionor addition of acceptable sureties may be made at the request of any obligor ona bond or, in the interests of justice, at the request of a prosecutor underthe provisions of G.S. 15A‑539.
