§55‑17‑04.  Severability.

If any provision of thisChapter or its application to any person or circumstance is held invalid by acourt of competent jurisdiction, the invalidity does not affect otherprovisions or applications of the Chapter that can be given effect without theinvalid provision or application, and to this end the provisions of the Chapterare severable. (1989, c. 265, s. 1.)
