§58‑30‑22.  Powers of Commissioner and receiver to examine or auditbooks or records.

(a)        As used in thissection, "person" includes an agent of the insurer; a broker, cedingor assuming reinsurer, or reinsurance intermediary that has done business withthe insurer; or any affiliate of the insurer.

(b)        In addition toother powers granted under this Chapter, the Commissioner in any supervisionproceeding under this Article and a receiver in any delinquency proceedingunder this Article has the power to examine or audit the books or records ofany person insofar as those books or records relate to the business activitiesof the insurer that is under supervision or subject to a delinquencyproceeding.
