§ 58‑79‑22.  Doorlock exemption permit.

Any business entity licensedto sell automatic weapons as a federal firearms dealer that is in the businessof selling firearms or ammunition and that operates a firing range which rentsfirearms and sells ammunition that desires to be exempt from the door lockrequirements of Chapter 10 of Volume 1 of the North Carolina State BuildingCode may apply for a permit to do so with the Department in accordance withG.S. 143‑143.4 and rules adopted by the Department. The Department shallcharge a permit fee of five hundred dollars ($500.00) for the issuance of apermit issued pursuant to G.S. 143‑143.4. (2001‑324, s. 2.)
