§89F‑7.  Exemptions.

(a)        Except as providedin subsection (b) of this section, any person who practices or offers topractice soil science in this State is subject to the provisions of thisChapter.

(b)        The following areexempt from the provisions of this Chapter:

(1)        Persons engagedsolely in teaching soil science or engaged solely in soil science research.

(2)        Officers andemployees of the United States, the State, and units of local government whopractice soil science solely in the capacity of their office or employment.

(3)        Officers andemployees of companies engaged in the practice of soil science, when theofficers and employees practice soil science solely in the capacity of theiremployment and who do not offer their services to the public for hire. (1995,c. 414, s. 1.)
