Blood Banks.
§ 90‑220.12. Supervision of licensed physicianrequired; penalty for violation.
It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to engage inthe selection of blood donors or in the collection, storage, processing, or transfusionof human blood, except at the direction or under the supervision of a physicianlicensed to practice medicine in North Carolina. Any person, firm orcorporation convicted of the violation of this section shall be guilty of aClass 1 misdemeanor. (1971, c. 938; 1993, c. 539, s. 641; 1994, Ex. Sess., c. 24, s. 14(c).)
