§ 90‑690.  Renewal oflicenses.

(a)        All licenses topractice perfusion shall expire two years after the date they were issued. TheCommittee shall send a notice of expiration to each licensee at his or her lastknown address at least 30 days prior to the expiration of his or her license.All applications for renewal of unexpired licenses shall be filed with theCommittee and accompanied by proof satisfactory to the Committee that theapplicant has completed the continuing education requirements established bythe Committee and the renewal fee as required by G.S. 90‑689.

(b)        An application forrenewal of a license that has been expired for less than three years shall beaccompanied by proof satisfactory to the Committee that the applicant hascurrent certification as defined by G.S. 90‑682(1), has satisfied thecontinuing education requirements established by the Committee and has paid therenewal and late fees required by G.S. 90‑689. A license that has beenexpired for more than three years shall not be renewed, but the applicant mayapply for a new license by complying with the current requirements forlicensure under this Article.
