1523.09 Sale or lease of water prohibited.

If a reservoir, dam, storage basin, or other improvement constructed or enlarged by the chief of the division of soil and water resources as provided in sections 1523.01 to 1523.13 of the Revised Code constitutes a part of the canal system of the state or is located upon any river, stream, or body of water formerly used as a feeder for the canal system, no water shall be sold or leased from the improvement except in accordance with section 1520.03 of the Revised Code.
