319.25 Examination of charges - removal - successor.

If satisfied upon examination that there are reasonable grounds for a complaint as provided in section 2921.44 of the Revised Code, the probate court may report the complaint to the board of county commissioners, which shall immediately suspend the county auditor, and appoint a suitable person to perform the duties of auditor until he is restored to the possession of his office, or his successor is elected and qualified. Upon such successor giving bond and taking the oath of office required of auditors, he may perform all duties and be subject to all the obligations and liabilities of auditors. The bond shall be filed and recorded as are the bonds of auditors under section 319.02 of the Revised Code.
