5101.51 State child health plan.

In accordance with federal law governing the children’s health insurance program, the director of job and family services may submit a state child health plan to the United States secretary of health and human services to provide, except as provided in section 5101.516 of the Revised Code, health assistance to uninsured individuals under nineteen years of age with family incomes above one hundred fifty per cent of the federal poverty guidelines but not exceeding two hundred per cent of the federal poverty guidelines. If the director submits the plan, the director shall include both of the following in the plan:

(A) The health assistance will not begin before January 1, 2000.

(B) The health assistance will be available only while federal financial participation is available for it.
