1-36A-1.25. Determination that legal action necessary--Procedure. If, in the opinion of the secretary of human services, any matter in regard to the management of any institution under its control, or any matter in regard to any patient of any such institution, requires legal investigation or action of any kind, notice thereof may be given by the secretary to the attorney general, who shall make inquiry and take such proceedings in the premises as he may deem necessary and proper and report his action and the results thereof to the secretary without delay.
