10-1-10. Attorney general to assist department--Prosecution of actions. The attorney general shall, if requested, give the Department of Revenue and Regulation such counsel and advice as the department may from time to time require. The attorney general shall institute and prosecute, if requested by the secretary of revenue and regulation, any suit that the secretary deems expedient and proper to institute. The attorney general shall render to the secretary such counsel, advice, and opinions, in writing if requested, as are necessary to carry out the provisions of this chapter or any law of this state.
