24-11A-14. Assignment of parolee to adult community corrections facility. The Board of Pardons and Paroles or a parole agent as described in subdivision 24-11A-15(3) may assign a parolee to an adult community corrections facility or program, as a condition of parole or intensive parole and in accordance with chapters 24-13 to 24-15, inclusive. If a parolee is assigned to an adult community corrections facility, the department shall employ or appoint an employee to supervise the conditions of parole. In addition, assignment of a parolee to an adult community corrections facility may occur only if:
(1) The adult community corrections facility has an established local community correctional board and has entered into a contract to provide services with the department;
(2) Funding for the placement is available;
(3) The parolee is accepted by the adult community corrections facility and the local community correctional board as described in § 24-11A-5 and subdivision 24-11A-11(1); and
(4) The Board of Pardons and Paroles notifies the law enforcement agencies of the affected local units of government the identity of the parolee being assigned.
