40-7-28. Protest of appraisal by animal industry--Appointment of board and reappraisal. In case the owner of cattle or bison to be killed under the provisions of § 40-7-27 is not satisfied with the appraisal made by the Animal Industry Board, he may protest the appraisal, whereupon a board of three appraisers is to be formed of which one member shall be an agent of the Animal Industry Board, one member shall be selected by the owner of the cattle or bison involved and the third member shall be selected by the first two members. An appraisal of the cattle or bison involved shall be made by the board of appraisers, and the appraisal of any two of them is final.
