40-8-10. Quarantine and treatment of imported sheep. On arrival sheep imported pursuant to § 40-8-9 shall be placed in quarantine by the state veterinarian and, if necessary, be immediately treated at the expense of the owner under the supervision of the state veterinarian or the United States Department of Agriculture in a manner approved by the United States Department of Agriculture for the eradication of scabies. The quarantine shall remain in effect until the sheep are so treated.
