40-8-17. Foreclosure of lien for expenses of officer. If the lien, as provided in § 40-8-16, is not discharged by payment within fifteen days after expenses and charges have been incurred, the state veterinarian shall foreclose on the lien. The foreclosure shall be commenced, tried, and determined in all respects as provided for the foreclosure of liens under chapters 21-53 and 21-54.
