40-9A-11. Public notice--Confinement within a geographical area--Violation as misdemeanor. If the state veterinarian has reason to believe that the pseudorabies may spread within a county or geographical area, he may serve public notice by publication in a newspaper of general circulation in the county or geographical area requiring any owner of swine to confine his animals for any period necessary to prevent the spread of pseudorabies. Failure to comply with an order of the state veterinarian made pursuant to this section is a Class 1 misdemeanor.
