40-9A-9. Duty to report disease--Violation as misdemeanor. If a veterinarian or other person in South Dakota performing disease diagnostic services knows, or has reason to suspect, that any swine has pseudorabies, he shall notify, within forty-eight hours, the state veterinarian. A violation of this section is a Class 2 misdemeanor.
