46A-7A-170. Answer or other pleading to petition--Effect of pleadings. Any person interested in the district or the issue or sale of bonds may answer or otherwise plead to the petition. The provisions of law respecting pleading to a complaint are applicable to a pleading to the petition. Any person so pleading shall be the defendant to the special proceeding and the district shall be the plaintiff. Every material statement of the petition not controverted by the answer must, for the purpose of such special proceeding, be taken as true. Each person failing to answer the petition shall be deemed to admit as true all the material statements of the petition. Any rules of pleading and practice provided by law and not inconsistent with the provisions of this chapter are applicable to the special proceedings.
